Job summary

Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist for an on-site role serving underserved populations in a correctional setting. You will assess patient needs, perform dental hygiene procedures, educate patients on oral health, and maintain accurate records under the supervision of a licensed dentist.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Dental Hygienist program, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygienist school.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment room and select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits.
• Provide oral hygiene and postoperative instructions to patients and answer their questions.
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments, document dental hygiene services and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhere to infection-control policies and protocols, and conserve dental resources.
• Ensure proper functioning of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
