Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a part-time Dental Hygienist for Jackson Correctional Institution in Malone, FL. The hygienist will perform prophylaxis, radiography, and related duties in a correctional environment, while maintaining records and educating inmates on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our team at Jackson Correctional Institution located in Malone, Florida.

The Dental Hygienist performs oral hygiene treatment for offenders to include prophylaxis, curettage, and other hygienist procedures in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties:

• Operating radiographic equipment to obtain dental radiographs of patients
• Maintaining patient dental records
• Completing required reports/paperwork
• Providing personal oral hygiene education and instruction individually or in a group setting

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Successful completion of a dental hygiene program required
• Florida Dental Hygienist license
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift:

Days, Monday-Thursday. Any 2-3 days, 20 hours per week.
