Job summary

Willamette Dental is hiring a Dental Hygienist for a Gresham, OR practice. This full-time role (30 hours) offers a competitive hourly range and requires graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with active Oregon license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities include performing hygiene procedures, radiographs within ALARA, patient education, and collaboration with the dental team. Travel to other WD locations may be required within a reasonable range.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current unrestricted dental hygiene license.
• Oregon dental hygiene license in good standing.
• N2O permit; required and kept current.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply the dental hygiene process of care (Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation).
• Gather data for systemic and oral assessment and record findings.
• Take and evaluate radiographs within ALARA guidelines.
• Document assessments in Electronic Dental Records (EDR).
• Explain treatment plans and obtain patient consent.
• Provide patient education on oral health, nutrition, and smoking cessation.
• Perform prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and other hygiene procedures as permitted.
• Maintain infection control and PPE compliance.
