Position Summary:

The Dental Hygienist conducts initial patient examinations, prophylaxis, dental x-rays, polishing, fluoride treatments, and advises patients on oral health and preventive care. Responsibilities include documentation of medical history, vitals, and progress notes, as well as sterilization of instruments and treatment rooms. Works collaboratively with dental residents to provide patient-centered oral health services following hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school
• Licensed with current registration in New York State
• Preferred: at least one year of experience in a general dental practice or healthcare setting
