Env Scientist/ Industrial Hygienist - IAQ, Lead, Mold, Asbestos

Location: anywhere near Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or Harrisburg, PA

Certification Preferences: PA Mold Assessor, PA Asbestos Inspector, Lead Inspector, and/or City of Philadelphia Asbestos Investigator

We are an environmental consulting firm providing customized Environmental Health and Safety Services among other services to our clients. We seek an experienced industrial hygienist to evaluate exposure data, air monitoring results, and conduct mold, asbestos, and lead inspections. This role offers growth potential within our organization.

Responsibilities

1. Complete investigations, develop remediation plans, and report findings according to regulations and industry guidelines.
2. Conduct air, surface, and water sampling following EPA, OSHA, NIOSH, and analytical methods.
3. Monitor employee exposure to various environmental hazards.
4. Perform mold/moisture inspections and generate remediation scope of work plans.
5. Assess indoor air quality.
6. Conduct lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments.
7. Survey for asbestos-containing materials.
8. Manage client relationships.

Minimum Requirements

• 2-10+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting.
• Experience with indoor air quality investigations, mold, asbestos, and lead inspections.
• B.S. in environmental science, engineering, chemistry, safety, biology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in mold assessment, asbestos inspection, lead inspection, or asbestos investigation.
• Familiarity with direct read indoor air sampling equipment.
• Professional client interaction skills.
• Project management experience.
• Willingness to travel.
