Ascension is seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist for the St Elizabeth Ann Seton Dental Clinic in Milwaukee. You will perform routine hygiene duties in a school-based setting, including screenings, sealants, fluoride applications and radiographs, while counseling families on oral health and nutrition.

You will maintain equipment and charting in our dental software and liaise with parents for follow-up care. The role aligns with Ascension’s mission and offers a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• Dental Hygienist credential required by Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board.
• Associate's degree in dental hygiene or equivalent experience required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide dental hygiene services in a school-based setting, including screenings, sealants, fluoride application, and diagnostic radiographs.
• Counsel patients and communities on oral hygiene, nutrition, and the connection between dental health and overall wellness.
• Maintain clinical equipment and supplies while ensuring accurate patient charting and administrative tasks via dental software.
• Act as a liaison by clearly reporting findings and necessary follow-up care to parents and guardians.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Dental Hygienist credentialed from the Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Valid WI driver's license to travel to different locations throughout the Milwaukee area.
• Ability to work 8:00am - 3:00pm.
