Position Summary: The Dental Hygienist collaborates with dentists to meet patients' oral health needs, performing prophylaxis, screenings, periodontal maintenance, charting, and assisting with various dental responsibilities in accordance with our high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient dental condition and needs via screening procedures
• Deliver direct patient care and perform routine treatments
• Take vital signs and radiographs for diagnosis
• Apply sealants and fluoride treatments
• Maintain electronic records and document patient histories
• Educate patients on oral health and disease prevention
• Sterilize instruments and manage treatment plans
• Explain procedures and costs to patients and coordinate treatments
• Communicate patient concerns to dentists and perform ancillary duties as needed

Requirements:

• Must be punctual; clinic opens at 8am, with a start time of 7:45am
• Completed dental hygiene program or Associate's degree and valid North Carolina Hygienist license
• Able to work independently, demonstrate good judgment, teamwork, initiative, and dependability
• Attention to detail, flexibility, confidentiality, and good interpretive skills
