Health Advocates Network is seeking a DENTAL HYGIENIST to work at a facility in Dayton, OH. These are registry positions with our company.

Pay Rate: $42/hour

Shift Details: 7am to 3:30 pm, weekdays are somewhat flexible

Responsibilities:

1. Using dental instruments to clean accretions, calcareous deposits, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
2. Indicating oral cancer by feeling lymph nodes under patient chins for tenderness or swelling.
3. Reviewing patient medical history.
4. Using probes to examine and locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease.
5. Recording dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentists.
6. Maintaining dental equipment and x-ray machines.
7. Examining gums for signs of disease, sores, and other health issues.
8. Exposing and developing x-ray film.
9. Sharpening and sterilizing dental instruments.
10. Promoting preventive dental care to improve oral health.
11. Applying fluorides and other decay prevention agents.
12. Collaborating with dentists and dental assistants.
13. Maintaining a dental hygiene program for patients.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 1 year experience as a DENTAL HYGIENIST.
2. Ability to build rapport with patients.
3. Compassionate and caring demeanor.
4. Familiarity with medical terminology.
5. Valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association).
6. Up-to-date credentials in Ohio, including Ohio Dental Hygiene license, CPR, and HepB vaccine record.
