Job summary

A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) seeks a full-time, exempt Instructor Dental Hygienist on the St. Louis campus to supervise dental students performing non-surgical periodontal procedures and provide clinical hygiene services.

The Instructor will participate in instruction, grading, and calibration meetings, contribute to the clinical Quality Assurance program, and report to the Assistant Dean, Clinical Affairs.

Qualifications

• Dental hygiene degree or associate degree in dental hygiene with Bachelor degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of periodontal anatomy and physiology; referral parameters for periodontal surgery.
• Experience in designing and implementing NSPT Programs.
• Current Missouri Dental Hygiene licensure/Local Anesthesia Certification and Nitrous Analgesia Certification.
• Must be able to obtain Missouri Dental Hygiene license/certification.
• Current AHA CPR BLS or MO Dental Board approved equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Participate in instruction and grading of non-surgical periodontal procedures.
• Participate in instruction and grading of clinical experiences related to dental hygiene.
• Participate in faculty calibration meetings and professional development activities.
• Contribute to the clinical program as directed by the Assistant Dean, Clinical Affairs.
• Other duties as assigned.
