Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) invites applications for an Adjunct Dental Hygiene Faculty – Didactic. The role is to provide high-quality, evidence-based classroom instruction that aligns with CODA standards and program outcomes.

Candidates must hold a CODA-accredited program background, a Maryland license or eligibility, and strong instructional skills. The incumbent will develop and deliver course content, assess student performance, and support student success while complying

Qualifications

• Faculty must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in dental hygiene.
• Graduate of a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current Maryland dental hygiene license in active status and good standing or eligibility for Maryland licensure.
• Minimum of two years of clinical dental hygiene practice or relevant experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Ability to meet College and CODA requirements and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide didactic instruction aligned with course objectives and CODA standards.
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate lectures, exams, assignments, and learning activities.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback and support.
• Utilize effective instructional strategies to promote engagement and critical thinking.
• Maintain communication with the Program Director and faculty about course activities and student success.
• Utilize the college LMS and instructional technologies for teaching and grading.
• Meet with students to provide academic support and remediation.
• Maintain accurate instructional records and submit grades per policy.
• participate in faculty meetings and professional development.
