Qualifications

• Completion of Dental Assisting school or minimum three months experience in a dental office.
• Dental Assistant permit within 30 days of employment; Coronal Polish and Radiation Certificates within six months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and instruments; assist dentist/dental hygienist.
• Record treatment information in patient records.
• Expose dental X-rays and care for sensors.
• Polish coronal surfaces to support hygiene visits.
• Take and record medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist in managing dental emergencies.
• Provide postoperative instructions.
• Make post-operative calls to patients.
• Instruct patients on oral hygiene and plaque control.
• Order and monitor supplies for the Hygiene department.
• Schedule appointments and reschedule missed ones.
• Apply fluoride and sealants as prescribed.
• Relocate to other clinics as needed.
• Comply with OSHA/HIPAA and company policies.
• Maintain regular attendance.
