Heartland Dental is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to join our team. This position offers on-the-job training and exposure to modern dental technology, enabling you to grow your skills while supporting top-tier patient care.

You will work closely with hygiene providers to deliver excellent service in a community-focused practice. Ideal candidates are team players with strong communication and organizational abilities, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training may be required based on state requirements.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• HIPAA and PHI safety training will be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and support comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Assist hygienists during a wide range of procedures as needed.
• Set up rooms for hygiene visits and restock instruments and supplies.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidance.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
