Job summary

Heartland Dental Belleview is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to join a 3-doctor practice. No dental experience required; we provide extensive on-the-job training to help you develop practical skills and a clear career path within a world-class organization.

You will work alongside our hygiene providers, learn Dentrix scheduling, and contribute to patient care in a supportive team environment that values learning, collaboration, and quality service.

Qualifications

• On the job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.
• High school graduate or GED Equivalent.
• Team Player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• PHI protection and HIPAA training will be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and maintain patient comfort.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Assist hygienists during procedures in accordance with state dental practice acts.
• Set up rooms for hygiene visits and stock supplies.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols following OSHA/CDC recommendations.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
