Job summary

Empower Dental Group in California seeks a proactive Front Office & Patient Experience specialist to join our network of dental practices. You will greet patients, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and present treatment plans while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The role emphasizes strong communication, proficiency with dental software (Open Dental), and the ability to multitask in a busy front desk environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a dental front office or treatment coordination role.
• Clinical experience in a dental office is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology and insurance (HMO/PPO) requirements.
• Experience with insurance verification and treatment estimates.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and update patient information and insurance data.
• Answer inbound calls and direct or take messages as appropriate.
• Register new patients and explain office policies; provide forms.
• Text or email welcome packages to new patients prior to first visit.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception and file area; comply with HIPAA and infection control standards.
• Review treatment plans with patients, answer questions, and present financial options.
