Job summary

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Dental Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support front office operations in its Florida-based dental practices. Responsibilities include check-in/out, scheduling, patient relations, billing, and maintaining patient flow with faculty and students.

The role requires strong communication, computer literacy (MS Office, AxiUm, Jenzabar), HIPAA/FERPA knowledge, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual applicant preferred.
• AS or BS degree with 2-5 years’ experience in a similar job responsibility preferred.
• Computer and online interactive knowledge a must.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out patients and verify billing information.
• Assist in front office operations for SDM.
• Balance End of Day reports for the Financial Officer.
• Protect money, checks and credit cards; collect insurance information.
• Coordinate dental materials inventory with the Dispensary.
• Support patient flow and assist dental students as needed.
