Job summary

HHM Health in Dallas is seeking a Dental Front Office Assistant for our Pediatric locations. You will create a welcoming environment and help ensure an exemplary patient experience.

Responsibilities include patient check-in/out, phone handling, insurance verification, scheduling, and coordinating referrals. Experience with eClinicalWorks/Dentrix is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Two years of Front Office Dental Administrative experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • eClinicalWorks and Dentrix experience preferred.
  • Completion of Dental Assistant Certification preferred.
  • BLS/CPR First Aid certification.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese, Rohingya or other languages preferred.

  • Patient check-in and check-out.
  • Answering phones and assisting patients.
  • Insurance verification and eligibility checks.
  • Making patient calls (confirmations, follow-ups, scheduling).
  • Assisting with dental home appointments and screenings for medical patients.
  • eCW workflows, scheduling, billing and documentation.
  • Strong communication between teams and patients.
  • Supporting front office tasks as needed.
  • Sending out dental referrals and connecting patients to care.
  • Travel to Dallas-based locations including Irving and Kaufman as needed.

Here’s a Sneak Peek At What You'll Do
  • Patient check-in and check-out
  • Answering phones and assisting patients
  • Insurance verification and eligibility checks
  • Making patient calls (confirmations, follow-ups, scheduling)
  • Assisting with Dental First Dental Home appointment conversions and dental screenings for medical patients
  • eCW workflows, ensuring proper scheduling, billing and documentation is taking place
  • Strong communication between teams and patients to ensure productive and positive workflows
  • Supporting front office tasks as needed and directed
  • Sending out dental referrals and connect patients to dental care as needed
  • Flexibility to travel to all Dallas based locations including; Irving, Kaufman, whenever needed
What You Need To Succeed

To be a productive member of our team, you will have a pleasant and professional demeanor, be a self-starter, have the ability to work independently, strong communication skills and the ability to preserve confidentiality. You will also have the following:

  • Ability to organize and multi-task along with having good listening skills
  • At least two (2) years Front Office Dental Administrative experience
  • Build trust and help the Dentist attain success in patient care
  • Experience working in a dental setting to include patient contact is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • eClinicalWorks experience, Dentrix, and dental terminology preferred
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese, Rohingya or any other languages preferred
  • Completion of Dental Assistant Certification, preferred
  • BLS/CPR First Aid
