Job summary

Heartland Dental’s Dental Group of Springfield is seeking a friendly Dental Front Office professional to join our team. You’ll greet patients, manage front office tasks, and coordinate scheduling for multiple providers using Dentrix.

The role emphasizes customer service, efficient communication, and HIPAA compliance, with opportunities to learn and grow within a stable, well‑established organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer‑centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to minimum PHI and HIPAA training; protect PHI and data safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients entering the office to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: answer phones, mail/email, and communications with patients and insurance companies.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers; use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims; verify benefits and coverage explanations.
• Post insurance and patient payments; process accounts receivable and discuss treatment plan fees and options with patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential.
