Job summary

Virginia Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced Front Desk Scheduler to join our Huguenot team. This non-exempt, hourly role supports a busy dental office with patient check-ins, appointment scheduling, and insurance coordination.

Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $18–$24 per hour based on experience. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organization, communication, and attention to detail to keep the schedule running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ dental office experience.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review schedules daily to fill open appointment times and monitor changes continuously.
• Confirm, schedule, and follow up on unscheduled appointments.
• Greet patients, answer telephones, and check office emails daily.
• Run necessary patient reports and make follow up and treatment calls.
• Ensure patient information is up to date including insurance details and contact info.
• Coordinate with insurance on pre-treatment estimates.
• Communicate with accounts receivable on balances or payment arrangements.
• Coordinate with specialists or hygiene coordinators as needed.
• Review treatment plans with patients to explain treatment and insurance coverage.
• All other duties as assigned.
