Job Summary
This full-time, remote position provides customer service to members of multiple benefit plans by analyzing caller needs and providing timely, accurate responses. Handle calls regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, premiums, and other issues from policyholders, agents, members, providers, and others.

Pay Range
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour, DOE. Actual pay depends on qualifications.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • Minimum 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical or dental terminology knowledge preferred but not required
  • Diagnosis and procedure coding knowledge preferred but not required
  • Customer service or related experience
  • Strong communication skills, professional and courteous interaction
  • Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM
  • High-speed internet (cable or fiber)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and handle fast-paced environment

Primary Functions

  • Handle high volume inbound calls regarding dental claims, benefits, premiums, and eligibility
  • Provide accurate information professionally
  • Calculate benefit and premium amounts
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and document calls clearly
  • Stay updated on benefit information and system procedures
  • Gather banking details for premium collection
  • Identify claim adjustments, resolve complaints, and coordinate with providers or agencies as needed
  • Follow up promptly and meet service levels
