Customer Service Representative - Remote - eviCore (Finance)

If you want to make a difference and help people, have excellent communication skills, and can problem-solve calmly, eviCore Healthcare, a subsidiary of The Cigna Group, invites you to join our team! Joining our non-clinical team, you will help manage the benefit needs of inbound callers from start to finish while delivering excellent patient-provider care.

Responsibilities
  1. Handle an average of 80-100 inbound calls daily from Health Plan clients and providers seeking pre-authorization.
  2. Handle and verify patient records under HIPAA and PHI, maintaining confidentiality for each call.
  3. Manage multiple back-to-back calls using various applications on multiple screens, accurately entering all patient, provider, and imaging center data.
  4. Follow the formal script pathway with each caller, and transfer unresolved calls to the appropriate department.
  5. Stay client-focused, resolving customer inquiries and complaints with one-call resolution.
  6. Attend 100% of the 8-week training, which includes live-call participation.
Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Prior customer service experience preferred.
  3. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
  4. Excellent customer focus with the ability to diffuse difficult callers constructively.
  5. Accountability and ownership in problem-solving.
  6. Engaged, coachable, and positive attitude, willing to be a role model.
  7. Team player who shares knowledge and supports peers.
  8. Flexible, open-minded, and adaptable to business needs.
  9. Self-confident, using good judgment to do what is right and keep promises.

The anticipated hourly rate is $17.75 to $19, depending on experience and location. The role may also be eligible for an annual bonus plan.
