Job summary

Howard University is seeking a Patient Clinical Coordinator II to manage daily operations of clinic sites, optimize patient flow, and ensure accurate documentation and billing processes. You will coordinate scheduling, insurance verification, and treatment-planning support within HIPAA-compliant workflows.

Responsibilities include reviewing eligibility, preauthorizations, and Medicare/insurance requirements; rebilling and claim follow-up; and training PCC I staff and student workers to uphold

Qualifications

• Associate degree required with 4+ years in front-office, clinical coordination, or healthcare admin.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare/business admin preferred.
• Experience with axiUm or similar systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of assigned clinic, including patient routing and desk coverage.
• Monitor schedules, chair utilization, cancellations and bottlenecks; adjust as needed.
• Review appointment requests and ensure referrals, authorizations and records are complete.
