Our client, University of Michigan, is seeking a Dental Billing Specialist to join their team. As a Dental Billing Specialist, you will be part of the billing and claims support function, helping the team keep documentation accurate and claims moving forward. From my perspective, the ideal candidate brings accuracy and attention to detail, strong critical thinking, and the ability to manage time effectively while working with dental coding and billing workflows.

Pay Range: $22-26/hr.

Shift: Day shift

What's the Job?

• Review and process dental billing with accuracy and attention to detail to support clean claims.
• Use CDT/CPT and ICD-10 codes to ensure correct coding and documentation alignment.
• Interpret insurance benefits and apply knowledge of insurance rules to support appropriate claim outcomes.
• Submit claims and manage claim follow-up, including appeals when needed.
• Work in Epic to support billing workflows and maintain organized, timely processing.

• Experience with CDT/CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Familiarity with insurance and the ability to interpret benefits.
• Experience with claims submissions and appeals.
• Experience working in Epic.
