Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Minimum of two years of previous office experience required.
• Dental billing or dental office experience required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance plans is a plus.
• Epic experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility for dental services.
• Obtain pre-authorizations when required.
• Process electronic and manual charge entries accurately and timely.
• Post payments to patient accounts and insurance records.
• Submit claims and follow up on denied or pending submissions.
• Communicate with insurers, dental providers, and patients regarding balances.
• Assist patients with payment arrangements and excellent service.
• Review aged receivables and apply write-offs as needed.
