Job summary

Cape Cod Community College seeks a full-time Dental Assisting Faculty Member/Program Coordinator to oversee the 15-week Certificate Program for dental assisting and deliver didactic and clinical instruction. You will assess student performance, support success, and ensure CODA accreditation compliance under the Director of Dental Sciences.

The role requires collaboration across departments, program assessment, externship coordination, and marketing support. Fall 2026 start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dental sciences, education or related field.
• Certification as Dental Assisting National Board 'Certified Dental Assistant' or MA license.
• Status as a Dental Assistant in good standing with fourhanded dentistry experience.
• Two years college teaching experience; three years clinical practice.
• Experience in educational theory/methodology and CODA coordination.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Program curriculum, syllabi, course content, scheduling and budgeting.
• Teach in classroom and clinical areas with simulations as available.
• Coordinate clinic, lab support, equipment and documentation.
• Collaborate with tutoring, enrollment, testing and advising services.
• Present information sessions and advise prospective students.
• Mentor and advise matriculated students; maintain accreditation with CODA.
• Develop program assessment, enrollment and retention metrics.
• Coordinate externships and maintain partnerships with sites.
• Assist in marketing materials and College Communications coordination.
