Job summary

Sky Pediatric Dentistry seeks an Academic Faculty Director to lead a one-year Certificate program, ensuring CODA compliance and administrative excellence. The role blends teaching, leadership, and program management on a twelve-month calendar (July–June) at the West Campus center.

The Director will guide curriculum, budget, and faculty performance, while fostering collaboration with health professions programs and clinical opportunities for students. This position may evolve in two years.

Qualifications

• Must hold at least one active credential: CDA or Licensed Dentist in Arizona.
• Must have 2 years’ experience as a dental assistant with four-handed dentistry.
• Be CPR-BLS certified through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the program budget and allocate resources strategically.
• Direct curriculum development, evaluation, and coordination to maintain high academic standards.
• Oversee scheduling and utilization of facilities, labs, and equipment.
• Lead CODA accreditation compliance and documentation.
• Recruit, select, and evaluate faculty; manage teaching loads and workloads.
• Teach an instructional load per semester and support student success.
• Foster community partnerships and engage with advisory committees.
• Represent the department on college-wide committees and initiatives.
