Houston City College in Houston, TX invites applications for an Adjunct (Part Time) Instructor, Dental Assistant - Laboratory (Preclinical & Clinical). The role supports both preclinical and clinical labs and requires active participation in curriculum delivery and student engagement.

Responsibilities include teaching, developing syllabi, assessing outcomes, maintaining records, and advising students as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to teach clinical courses at HCC's affiliate sites by meeting requirements for entry set by the affiliate sites.
• Graduate of a CODA‑accredited dental assisting program.
• Certified Dental Assistant (DANB).
• Registered Dental Assistant in Texas.
• 3 years experience required.
• 1 year college‑level teaching experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Teach dental assisting courses and laboratories at multiple sites.
• Develop and use a syllabus for each course or lab and submit to department chair.
• Plan and use diverse teaching methods and materials to meet learning objectives.
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit reports on time.
• Review textbooks and learning materials for courses.
