Houston Community College seeks an Instructional Faculty member to support the college curriculum and programs, teach students using varied methodologies, and provide engagement and support activities that encourage learning.

The incumbent will teach a maximum load of contact hours each semester and participate in academic advising, professional development, and institutional and community service as part of the department and college.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with current state and national dental assisting certifications required for faculty providing didactic instruction.
• Laboratory, pre-clinical and clinical faculty must hold current state and national dental assisting certifications.
• Copy of transcript conferring required degree and certification(s) must accompany application.

Responsibilities

• Teach a maximum load of contact hours each semester; engage in academic advising and professional development.
• Participate in departmental, college and community service activities.
• Develop syllabi and use a variety of teaching methods to meet course objectives and diverse learners.
