Job summary

Smile Brands is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists in a busy San Diego office. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, take X-rays, and educate patients on oral care.

The role involves maintaining patient records, ordering supplies, and handling front-office tasks when needed. A CPR/BLS certification and an X-ray license are required; the schedule is Mon, Thu, Fri 8am-5pm and Tue/Wed 8:30am-5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Must be CPR or BLS certified.
• X-ray certification required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments.
• Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and ensuring patient comfort.
• Take and develop X-rays as needed.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts.
• Manage inventory and order dental supplies as required.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
• Assist with front-office tasks, including scheduling and payments when needed.
