Job summary

Broadlands Dental, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a 13-person team in Broadlands, VA. You'll welcome patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside assistance while using Dentrix for scheduling and records.

Role emphasizes safety protocols, HIPAA training, and active collaboration to maximize office efficiency. Evening/virtual training may be required periodically.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• IF required under state act, dental assistant/x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to PHI; HIPAA training required; protect PHI.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and educate during treatment.
• Review health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
