Job summary

Dental Care of Canby is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to join our team under Heartland Dental. You’ll greet patients, assist dentists with a range of procedures, and help maintain a smooth chairside workflow.

You’ll take X-rays, manage patient records in Dentrix, and ensure safety protocols are followed. A certification and/or x-ray license is required, with opportunities for growth and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate during treatment.
• Review health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supplies and place orders to support workflow.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office efficiency.
