Job summary

Heartland Dental supports Family Dental Care - Valparaiso in Indiana, seeking an experienced Dental Assistant with x-ray certification to join our team.

You will greet patients, review health history, take x-rays, and provide chairside assistance, using Dentrix for scheduling and records. This role offers cross-team collaboration and ongoing training in a fast-paced environment at a Heartland Dental office.

Qualifications

• Indiana x-ray certification is required.
• Experience in a fast-paced dental office.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI handling required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with state practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
