Job summary

The Smilist in Wellesley, MA is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to support our clinicians and patients. You will prep patients, assist during procedures, maintain a sterile operatory, and help escort patients to the front desk.

Qualifications

• Active MA dental x-ray license is required.
• 1+ year experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment and procedures.
• Dentrix experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during procedures and prepare treatment areas.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active MA x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details

• Schedule: Full Time - Monday through Friday - no weekends!
• Salary Range: $30.00-$35.00/hour - based on experience
• Location: Wellesley, MA
