Job summary

The Smilist in Boston, MA is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and support clinicians in delivering high-quality care.

You will prepare trays, maintain sterile environments, take radiographs per MA license, and help with front desk coordination, patient comfort, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Active MA x-ray license required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory; reorder as needed.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Active MA x-ray license is required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Friday - no weekends!
• Salary Range:$30.00-$35.00/hour (based on experience)
• Location:Boston, MA
