Job summary

The Smilist in Boston, MA is seeking a reliable, friendly Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will prepare patients, assist doctors during procedures, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for high-quality care.

Schedule is full-time (Mon–Fri, no weekends) with a pay rate of $30.00–$35.00/hour based on experience. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance, plus opportunities for professional growth and CE.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Active MA x-ray license is required.
• Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment and prepare patients for treatment.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory, ordering as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Active MA x-ray license is required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude
