The Smilist Dental in Frederick, MD is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to support clinicians, prepare patients, and maintain a welcoming operatory. You will manage tray setups, maintain supplies, escort patients, and help ensure efficient treatments while upholding safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Active Maryland X-Ray License required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Dentrix experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their concerns and promoting the doctor's strengths
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory, replenishing as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Active MD X-Ray License required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details

• Schedule: Full Time - some Saturdays required
• Salary Range: $20.00-$25.00/hour
