Job summary

The Smilist in Wayne, PA is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our practice and support clinicians in delivering high quality dental care.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a $2,500 sign-on bonus, benefits, and opportunities for continuing education. This full-time position is based at our Wayne, PA location with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant – at least 1 year.
• Active PA x-ray license is required.
• EFDA required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prep patients and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory; replenish as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors – thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant – at least 1 year
• Must have an active PA x‑ray license
• EFDA required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:
