Job description

The dental assistant reporting to the Clinical Assistant Supervisor is an integral member of the Pre Doc Program providing support to the Student(s) and faculty for quality of dental care to patients. The dental assistant will provide coverage to all pre doc treatment centers, including the Emergency Clinic.

Additionally, this role includes taking radiographs and supervising and instructing DMD and AS students regarding proper radiograph techniques during their pre-clinical and clinical rotations; assisting the faculty provider in the Emergency Clinic with various dental procedures demonstrating strong clinical skills by practicing four-handed dentistry; preparing operatories for the required treatment, ensuring operatories are cleaned and disinfected between each patient being seen, sterilization of instrument cassettes are prepared for re-circulation and following and adhering to all established infection control guidelines, OSHA and HIPAA regulations during and after treatment protocol.

Required Skills

Qualifications:
Vocational/Technical Degree required and 1-3 years' work experience.
