Position Overview

Reporting to the Clinic Practice Manager, the Patient Coordinator ensures excellent patient service within the Group Practice Model. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, updating patient information, billing, answering calls, and supporting clinic operations to make each patient experience positive from initial contact to treatment completion.

Responsibilities
  • Support student providers by scheduling and managing patient appointments.
  • Assist patients with inquiries, escalate issues when necessary.
  • Handle patient check-in and check-out duties, including updating demographics, verifying insurance, accepting payments, and scheduling follow-ups.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of payment transactions and ensure all charges are processed.
  • Maintain patient waitlist reports, review scheduling opportunities, and optimize chair time utilization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations and patient care.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in a customer service environment with heavy patient interaction.
  • Experience in healthcare, dental practice, hospital, or clinic preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple demands.
Skills
