Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care seeks a dedicated Dental Assistant to support dentists in all phases of care at Berkeley Dental. You will help manage patient flow, operate radiographic equipment, and ensure infection control standards are met.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a certified Dental Assisting program with a California Radiology License; CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of certified Dental Assisting Training Program and California Radiology License.
• CPR certification from an approved organization.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic supportive dental procedures under the general supervision of licensed dentist(s).
• Assists dentist(s) chairside in all phases of dentistry.
• Manages patient behavior during treatment.
• Operates dental radiographic equipment for taking diagnostic intra-oral X-rays and mounting as requested.
• Follows infection control protocols per state and federal standards; uses protective barriers.
• Assists patients with oral hygiene instructions following procedures.
• Documents treatment and patient information in dental software.
• Performs other duties as assigned by clinic manager and dental director.
