Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care is hiring a Dental Assistant to support the dentist in all phases of dentistry, including taking diagnostic intra-oral X-rays and performing coronal polishing as part of prophylaxis. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible role based in Berkeley.

The position requires a certified Dental Assisting Training Program, a California Radiology License, and current CPR. SEIU-UHW represented with benefits set by the CBA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of certified Dental Assisting Training Program and California Radiology License.
• Current CPR from AHA approved organization.

Responsibilities

• Assists dentist chairside in all phases of dentistry.
• Manages patient behavior during treatment.
• Operates dental radiographic equipment for diagnostic x-rays and mounts images as directed.
• Follows infection control protocols per standards.
• Assists patients with oral hygiene instructions post-procedure.
• Documents treatment and patient information in dental software.
