Job summary

The Ohio State University Total Health Care Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide chair-side support to dentists and dental hygienists, assisting with operative, preventative, periodontal, endodontic, prosthetic and oral surgery procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing equipment, maintaining dental records, monitoring radiographic safety, ordering supplies, and ensuring CPR readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• X-ray permit from Ohio State Board is required.
• 1 year of relevant experience required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side assistance to dentists and dental hygienists.
• Prepare, sterilize, and set up dental equipment per safety guidelines.
• Take diagnostic radiographic images and ensure radiation safety.
• Order and maintain inventories of clinic supplies and instruments.
