Job summary

El Dorado Community Health Centers in California is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the Dentist in delivering high-quality care in a clinical setting. Reporting to the Dental Office Supervisor, you will prepare instruments, assist during procedures, and help maintain patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and completion of EDCHC’s Dental Assistance Training Program or a Dental Assisting Pathway.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Completed Board-approved Dental Practice Act course.
• Completed Board-approved 8-hour Infection Control course.
• Completion of Dental Assisting Pathway: certificate/diploma or EDCHC program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and operatory for patient visits.
• Take radiographs using conventional or digital methods with safety protocols.
• Assist with four-handed dentistry and instrument transfers.
• Manage patient flow and provide chairside assistance during procedures.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control per OSHA/CDC/ADA standards.
