Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a per-diem Dental Assistant to join our team at the Saint Anthony Work Camp in Idaho. The role involves assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist with chairside dentistry and maintaining the dental operatory.

Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma, experience in dental assisting, and the ability to obtain an Idaho DA license. Compensation is $19.00 per hour, with a PRN schedule.

Qualifications

• Idaho DA license or ability to obtain license.
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred.

Overview

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Idaho Department of Correction. We are currently seeking a per-diem Dental Assistant to join our team at Saint Anthony Work Camp.

The Dental Assistant works under direct supervision, assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and additional administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its recognized equivalent.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant required.
• Idaho DA license or ability to obtain license.
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if not possessed, one must be obtained in the first year of employment.
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Compensation and Schedule

Pay rate: $19.00 per hour. Schedule: PRN/As needed.
