Job summary

Missoula Pediatric Dentistry in Missoula, MT is seeking a motivated pediatric dental assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will support clinicians, take radiographs, prepare rooms, and help manage charting and scheduling with a focus on comfort and confidentiality.

Candidates with 6+ months experience or CODA training are welcomed; CPR/BLS certification required. Training provided for the right candidate who demonstrates integrity, teamwork, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of pediatric dental assistant experience or training.
• CPR or BCLS certification.
• CODA-accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
• Familiarity with dental charting and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
• Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable before, during, and after their appointment about treatment and oral health.
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos.
• Prepare and sterilize treatment room and equipment.
• Provide chair-side assistance to providers during treatment procedures.
• Document dental care services by charting in patients' records.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Technical/troubleshooting skills for software used in charting, patient records, and scheduling
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
