Job summary

Salt Dental Partners in Perris, CA is seeking a pediatric dental assistant to greet patients warmly and ensure comfort throughout treatment. You will take radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos, prepare sterile rooms, and assist clinicians chair-side during procedures.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of practical experience as a pediatric dental assistant preferred - will train new grads
• CPR or BCLS certification
• Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (preferred)
• Quick learner with problem-solving skills
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Technical/troubleshooting skills for software used in charting, patient records, and scheduling
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and desire for professional growth
• Organized, with solid knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile
• Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable — before, during, and after their appointment — about their treatment and oral health
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos
• Prepare and sterilize treatment room and equipment
• Provide chair-side assistance to providers during treatment procedures
• Document dental care services by charting in patients' records
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment

Pay:$23.00/hour and up with RDA; $19.00/hour and up without RDA
