Job summary

Family Dental Care of East Peoria is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing team. You will greet patients, review health history, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside support with a patient-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state policy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms and follow safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Monitor supplies and place orders to maintain inventory.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
