Job summary

SmileOn Dentistry in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a detail‑oriented dental assistant to support dentists during procedures, prepare patients, sterilize tools, and maintain an organized, safe treatment area.

You will also help with patient scheduling, records, and basic administrative tasks, take and develop X-rays, and educate patients on oral hygiene. Flexible schedule; Monday‑Friday 9am‑6pm; compensation $18‑$25/hour with PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a dental assistant.
• Ability to take and develop dental X-rays.
• Strong attention to detail and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during procedures including extractions, fillings, cleanings.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as required.
• Explain procedures and position patients for treatment.
• Maintain patient records and document treatments.
• Keep the office clean, organized, and stocked.
• Assist with scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups.
• Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones and filing.
