Baystate Dental in Northampton, MA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team and provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative, modern practice. Full time: Monday-Thursday 8-5, Friday 8-4. You will assist dentists, prepare treatment rooms, and help with radiography and patient education.

Experience in dental assisting is required. The role emphasizes infection control, confidentiality, and accurate record-keeping to ensure excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• X-Ray certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist in emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and keeping emergency supplies ready.
