Job summary

Aegis Dental Group in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to join our growing team. You will welcome patients, prepare rooms and instruments, and assist doctors during procedures to ensure a smooth, comfortable visit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Dental assisting education or certification is preferred
• EFDA training/certification is a plus
• Coronal polishing certification/experience is a plus
• X-ray certification required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection-control procedures

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable during visits
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• Assist doctors using four-handed dentistry
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards
• Keep rooms clean, organized, and stocked
• Complete laboratory tasks as directed
• Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-op instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Assist with scheduling and other patient-related needs
• Help create a positive, efficient experience for the dental team
