Premier Dentist Partners in Merrillville, IN, is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dental team with chairside assistance, room setup, and instrument sterilization. You will take dental X-rays, maintain patient records, and contribute to efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant dental assisting experience.
• State-required dental assistant certification and/or licensure (if applicable).
• Certification and competency in taking dental X-rays.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and radiography.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures and provide chairside support.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
• Clean and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms per OSHA and CDC standards.
• Take dental X-rays according to state requirements.
• Update patient charts and document clinical notes in dental software.
• Assist with treatment planning and patient education.
• Provide patients with clear post-operative care instructions.
• Organize and restock dental supplies.
• Maintain dental equipment and treatment areas.
• Assist with scheduling and patient flow as needed.
• Support clinical and administrative functions to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with the dentist and team to create a positive patient experience.
